RSE
At Hale CE Primary School, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) support pupils’ wellbeing, personal development and understanding of the world around them. Our approach is rooted in our Christian values and promotes respect, kindness and positive relationships.
We teach Relationships Education through our PSHE curriculum using the Jigsaw programme. This helps pupils to understand friendships, family relationships, emotions, diversity and how to keep themselves safe.
Teaching is age-appropriate, inclusive and delivered in a safe environment where pupils feel confident to ask questions and share their views.
At primary level, there is no separate programme of Sex Education. Any learning about human reproduction is taught within the statutory science curriculum.
We work closely with parents and carers and welcome any questions about our RSE curriculum.
