School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a free school meal. Older children may be eligible for free school meals if you are in receipt of certain benefits or you have a household income below the Government Threshold.

The cost of school meals for children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, who are not eligible to a free school meal is £2.50 per meal. This is payable in advance and should be paid weekly, on a Monday for any meals to be taken during that week. Please make your payment on School Gateway

School Hub
From 3rd January 2024, Orian will be our school catering provider.
We hope this will enable the process of choosing and paying for your child’s lunch at Hale CE Primary School easier for you as a parent and the school.
Orian's school meals team create a great menu of fresh, home-cooked and nutritionally balanced meals every day including a range of different fresh-baked breads.
Orian have introduced School Hub, which is an online ordering and payment system, parents and children can go online and choose meals together, in advance and pay for meals online, you can simply top-up your balance when you need to.
If you have not had the time to pre-order in advance with your child, they will still have the chance to choose their meal first thing in the morning, using Lunch Shop’s specially designed system in the classroom.
The advantages of School Hub for children and parents are clear:
– you can top up your school meals balance whenever is convenient for you using a secure online payment system and there’s no need to bring cash or cheques into school and you can choose, alongside your child, what they would like to eat or leave the choice with them
– all meals taken by a child will be visible on your account so you will be able to see what they ate for lunch that day.
– Nutrition and Allergy information will be linked to your account.
Your unique log-in and password to the system (which you can change in ‘my account’) to be used at www.schoolhub.co.uk will be issued before the Christmas break.
In time School Hub will replace School Gateway.
