At Hale Primary School we believe that all our children can become fluent readers and writers. We aim to develop each child so that they are able to read with fluency as well as develop a love of reading that will stay with our children all their lives.

We follow Pathways to Read and Pathways to Write to ensure consistency across the school but also make direct links between reading and writing. It also gives our pupils the opportunity to be immersed in a range of texts.
