Year 1 and 2 Swimming

Dear Parents / Carers,

On Tuesday 24th June and 1st July, our Year 1 and 2 children will be having a swimming lesson as a part of the Physical Educational Curriculum.

A coach will take the children to Swim! Widnes on Tuesday afternoon. Children will leave school at 12:30 and will arrive back at school for 3:10.

All children in Year 1 and 2 will be included in these lessons; they will need to bring a small plastic bag containing:-
•    Swimming kit (one piece swimming costume or swimming shorts)
•    Towel
•    Hairbrush
•    Long hair must be tied back – Bathing caps will be provided
•    All earrings must be removed for the swimming lesson. We ask that children do not wear earrings on this day to avoid them being lost or not being able to remove them themselves and therefore missing the lesson

Consent must be given should you wish your child to wear goggles during the swimming lesson
